Ein Visionär mit viel Geld: Li Hejun

Am Wochenende wurde ein Interview mit Li Hejun (Vorstandsvorsitzender Hanergy) in der New York Times veröffentlicht. Der Mann hat Visionen und viel Geld um diese zu verwirklichen. Hanergy Thin Film könnte, falls die Entwicklungen weiter so voranschreiten in einigen Jahren ein Big Player in der Solarbranche werden. Dies scheint auch das Ziel von Li Hejun zu sein.

Mit genug Kapital ausgestattet und dem wachsenden Solarmarkt sind die Ausgangsbedingungen für Hanergy Thin-film, um einiges besser als bei anderen Start-ups (Dyesol usw.), denen die notwendige Liquidität fehlt, um in die Massenproduktion zu gehen.

Auch der erfolgreiche Test mit "Aston Martin" Fahrzeugen die Hanergy Solarpaneele benutzt haben, zeigt, in was für Sparten das Unternehmen vordringen kann und will.

Dass der Rennstall von "Aston Martin" mit Hanergy zusammenarbeitet, neben Ikea und anderen namhaften Unternehmen, zeigt, wie gut das Unternehmen in Wirtschaftswelt vernetzt ist.

Wenn die positive Entwicklung weiter anhält, glaube ich das diese Aktie ihren Kurs um einiges steigern wird.

Dann sollte man wissen, was genau eigentlich auf dem Dach sitzt. Solarmodul ist nicht gleich Solarmodul. Fachleute unterscheiden zwei Technologien: Module auf Siliziumbasis und sogenannte Dünnschichtmodule. Zu den letzteren gehören Cadmium-Tellurid-Module, und genau um die ist auf europäischer Ebene ein erbitterter Streit zwischen Unternehmern, Wissenschaftlern, Politikern und Lobbyisten entbrannt.

Wer beim Stichwort Cadmium aufschreckt, reagiert nach Ansicht des Stuttgarter Universitätsprofessors Jürgen Werner genau richtig. „Blei und Cadmium sowie ihre Verbindungen Cadmium-Sulfid und Cadmium-Tellurid sind nach der europäischen Direktive über gefährliche Substanzen als giftig oder gesundheitsschädlich klassifiziert“, warnt die „Non-Toxic Solar Alliance“ (NTSA), eine Initiative von Forschern und Branchenvertretern, in der sich auch Werner engagiert. Diese Interessengruppe verfolgt ein Ziel, das sich volkstümlich so zusammenfassen lässt: Schluss mit dem Gift auf deutschen Dächern. Reines Cadmium kann Nieren und Knochen schädigen und Krebs fördern. Cadmium-Tellurid gilt als weniger gefährlich; gleichwohl rät ein Hersteller wie Alfa Aesar, nach dem Verschlucken sofort ärztlichen Rat einzuholen....."

Das Unternehmen Hanergy Thin-Film, hat laut der Nachrichtenagentur Bloomberg, gestern (12.12.2014) den Bau einer neuen 300 MW Produktionsstätte für CIGS Solarmodule bekannt gegeben.

Die neue Fabrik soll in der Provinz Hunan entstehen und der Bau wird bezuschusst durch regionale staatliche Institutionen.

Eine Fertigstellung der Produktionsstätte ist für Juni 2016 vorgesehen.

Der Aufbau von Produktionsstätten ist ein weiterer notwendiger Schritt nach den Übernahmen von Unternehmen die auf die Entwicklung von CIGS Solarmodulen spezialisiert waren und als technologische Vorreiter in diesem Segment angesehen werden können.

Nach dem Bau dieser Modulfabrik, sowie weiterer, die schon viel eher fertiggestellt werden sollen, würde die Produktionskapazität für CIGS Solarmodule 900 MW betragen.

Phase Zwei, also der Aufbau von Produktionsstandorten, ist nach weitgehendem Abschluss von Phase 1, der Aneignung von Technologischem Know-how, im vollen Gange.

Phase 3 wäre die erfolgreiche Vermarktung der Produkte und damit zusammenhängend die Erhöhung des Marktanteils.

Hanergy to Build 300-Megawatt Thin-Film Solar Factory in China

Hanergy Holding Group Ltd, the Chinese renewable-energy company that’s acquired thin-film solar companies in the U.S. and Germany, is planning to open a factory to make them in Hunan province.

The plant in Changde will be able to make 300 megawatts of copper indium gallium selenide solar panels a year, the company’s Hong Kong-based Hanergy Thin Film Power Group Ltd. unit said today in a statement. It’s expected to be completed by June 2016.

This will be Hanergy’s first thin-film solar plant and comes after its purchases of U.S. producers Global Solar Energy Inc., Miasole Inc. and Alta Devices and the Solibro unit of Germany’s Q-Cells.

Hanergy Thin Film Power Group announced today that it intends to add 300 MW in flexible CIGS manufacturing capacity in Changde City, Hunan Province. The company has not announced which of its fleet of acquired CIGS technologies will be produced at the facility.

Since its acquisitions of CIGS manufacturers Solibro, MiaSolé and Global Solar, it has long been expected that Chinese PV contender Hanergy would develop manufacturing capacity for one or all of its technologies in China. Today’s announcement, that it will add 300 MW of flexible CIGS production in Hunan Province is the first step towards the company doing this, although it is unclear which of its technologies it will develop.

If Hanergy is successful with its plans to build the 300 MW of flexible CIGS capacity it will make it the largest flexible PV manufacturer by quite some considerable margin. Roofing in which weight is an issue - such as membrane roofing - and consumer electronics markets are seen a promising markets for flexible CIGS modules or cells.

In a pattern that is common with Hanergy’s manufacturing strategy, the company will build the fab in partnership with local government support, with the local development authority and the Changde Government both supporting the endeavor.

Fully owned Hanergy subsidiary Beijing Jing Cheng Platinum Solar Power Equipment Company Limited will carry out the construction and fit out of the fab. The land for the factory will be leased to Beijing Jing Cheng at a “concessionary rate.” The statement reads: “the Changde Government shall be responsible for the construction of the production factories and relevant ancillary engineering facilities.”

Construction of the fab is set to be completed by June 2016. Beijing Jing Cheng will purchase the fab from the Changde Government six years after: “the Project has obtained its industrial and commercial business license.”

Hanergy Thin Film Power Group Limited made today’s announcement. The controlling shareholder is Hanergy Holding. Hanergy Holding and its subsidiaries are a part of the Hanergy Group.

It is not announcement whether it is the flexible application of Silicon Valley CIGS developer MiaSolé or Colorado’s Global Solar that will be employed in the Changde City fab. Hanergy Holding announced the sale of Global Solar to Hanergy Hi-Tech last week for $1. Hanergy Hi-Tech is not mentioned in today’s media statement.

Hanergy has announced plans to construct 5.25 GW of capacity in CIGS manufacturing. One external tool order worth €15 million (US$18.65 million) has been announced, with German equipment supplier Singulus Technologies. Although this is thought to be for Solibro equipment, which produces glass substrate CIGS modules.

While such plans are sure to capture headlines, Hanergy has a reputation for big announcements. Hanergy had previously announced plans to construct 4.75 GW of a-Si manufacturing across a number of fabs throughout China. These were developed in cooperation with local authorities. This capacity has largely not eventuated or at the very least shipments have largely remained untracked by major industry analysts.
