Die Firma Symantec hat für die bekannte Antiviren-Software "Norton AntiVirus" eine neue Viren-Definitionsdatei (Stand: 07.01.2004) veröffentlicht. Mit Hilfe der zirka 4 Megabyte großen Datei sollen sich auch aktuelle Schädlinge beseitigen lassen. Sie kann von dieser Internet-Seite überspielt werden.

Der Intelligent Updater liegt jetzt in zwei verschiedenen Formen vor: als alles umfassende Einzeldatei und in mehrere Pakete aufgeteilt (passen auf Disketten). Die Funktionen der beiden Versionen sind völlig identisch.
Dieses Dokument enthält Anleitungen zur Aktualisierung der Virendefinitionen von Norton AntiVirus.
