FTC Files Antitrust Lawsuit Against Rambus
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Trade Commission said on Wednesday it had filed an antitrust suit against technology company Rambus Inc. (NasdaqNM:RMBS - News), charging the firm with improperly patenting a key computer chip technology.
The agency had been investigating allegations that Rambus worked with other companies in the industry to adopt a memory-chip standard while secretly applying for patent rights for the same technology.
