The company anticipates total revenues for the second quarter of fiscal year 2005 to be approximately $79 million to $81 million. The company anticipates license revenues for the quarter to be approximately $12 million, subscription and maintenance revenues to be approximately $31 million, and services and other revenues to be approximately $37 million. The company's previous guidance for the quarter anticipated total revenues of approximately $82 million to $87 million, with license revenues of approximately $15.5 million to $17.5 million, subscription and maintenance revenues of approximately $30 million and services and other revenues of approximately $37 million to $39 million.

The company anticipates net loss for the quarter to be approximately $8 million to $9 million, or a loss of approximately $0.13 to $0.15 per share. The expected net loss for the quarter includes anticipated charges of approximately $5.5 million for amortization of intangible assets, $4.3 million for stock-based compensation, and $3.5 million for restructuring and integration costs. Excluding these items, the company expects non-GAAP net income to be approximately $4 million to $5 million, or a profit of approximately $0.06 to $0.08 per share.

Hab die Schnauze voll. Bin heute morgen aus beiden Werten ausgestiegen. Lieber ein Ende mit Schrecken als ein Schrecken ohne Ende !

Hab den Gegenwert dann doch lieber in meinen Fonds Fidelity European Growth investiert. War zwar nicht mehr viel, aber vielleicht rette ich irgendwann mal wieder ein wenig....

von den damaligen Empfehlungen ist leider nicht mehr viel übriggeblieben. Da nützt auch die Betreurung, dass Ariba viel Chash hat, nichts mehr.

Ariba ist ein Ableger von IBM ... Vorsicht !!! Und die Kirche muss man schon im Dorf lassen.

81 Million Umsatz anstatt 89 Millionen Umsatz

Dieses Quartal wird eh schwierig für vile IT Unternehmen - es kommen noch eininge Gewinnwarnungen von anderen Firmen.

Der Wirtschaft geht es nicht so gut wie man uns suggerieren will...

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Ariba Inc. after the closing bell Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $6.9 million, or 11 cents a share, compared to a loss of $831,000, or 2 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter was $81.3 million, compared with $56 million in 2004. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had forecast second-quarter earnings of 7 cents a share on revenue of $81 million.

Diese Gefahr hast Du immer. Wenn Du sie verringern (ganz ausschließen geht nicht) möchtest, gehe in die Anleihen. Anleihen müssen unabhängig von der Geschäftsentwicklung immer getilgt werden, solange das Unternehmen nicht seinen Konkurs erklärt hat. Und den Konkurs will kein Management erklären, weil sie dann rausfliegen und der Konkursverwalter absahnen darf.

Aktueller Wochenchart (log) seit Dezember 2002 (1 Kerze = 1 Woche).

Diagnose: ARIBA befindet sich mittel- und langfristig in einer übergeordnet intakten Abwärtsbewegung. Kurzfristig startet in dieser Woche eine Gegenbewegung. Der Kurs wurde nach dem Scheitern unterhalb des bei 15,70 $ liegenden langfristigen Abwärtstrends in den Vormonaten massiv abverkauft und erreichte ein neues Bärenmarkttief. Dabei wurde auch die bei 6,97 $ liegende langfristige Pullbacklinie nach unten gebrochen, nach einem Tief bei 5,40 $ steigt der Kurs jetzt an.

Prognose: Eine Bodenbildung ist hier nicht erfolgt, es bietet sich bei mittelfristig massiv überverkauftem Zustand aber die Chance einer deutlichen Gegenbewegung. Die bisherige Wochekerze zeigt bereits ein bullisches Bild. Wird dieses Niveau auf Wochenschlussbasis gehalten, bietet sich zunächst Erholungspotenzial bis in den Bereich 6,97-7,27 $. Darüber wird ein Anstieg bis 8,26 $ mittelfristig möglich. Die Ausbildung eines mittelfristigen Bodens bleibt hier aber weiter abzuwarten.
