Oracle rechnet frühestens Ende 2002 mit Besserung

Der Hersteller von Unternehmenssoftware Oracle sieht nur eine langsame Besserung der Geschäftsaussichten und blickt "vorsichtig" auf das laufende Jahr. Beim Gewinn werde sich nach den Worten des Finanzvorstands Jeff Henley im zweiten Quartal eine leichte Besserung gegenüber dem ersten Quartal einstellen. Der Umsatz werde jedoch weiter fallen. Erst in der zweiten Hälfte des laufenden Geschäftsjahres 2002/03 (31. Mai) werde der Umsatz wieder steigen.



Im zweiten Quartal soll der Gewinn je Aktie zwischen 8 und 9 Cent liegen. Im vergleichbaren Vorjahreszeitraum hatte der Gewinn je Aktie 9 Cent betragen. Beim Umsatz erwartet das Unternehmen einen weiteren Rückgang. Im ersten Quartal fiel der Umsatz um rund 10 Prozent von 2,265 Milliarden Dollar auf 2,027 Milliarden Dollar. Der nach eigenen Angaben weltgrößte Hersteller von Unternehmenssoftware lag damit leicht unter den Expertenerwartungen. Analysten hatten hier mit rund 2,06 Milliarden Dollar gerechnet
