Priceline und Microchip: Gute und schlechte News
Priceline kann nachbörslich um die 10% zulegen, nachdem das Unternehmen bekannt gibt, dass einen Anteil im Wert von $8,5 Mio. an dem Internet Lodging Unternehmen Travelweb gekauft zu haben. Die Mehrheit an Travelweb wird von einer Anzahl grosser Hotels gehalten.
Das Chip Technologie Unternehmen Microchip Techn. reduziert seine Prognose für das vierte Quartal. Der Nettoumsatz soll sequentiell um 3-4% sinken und 10-12% gegenüber dem Vorjahresquartal ansteigen. Die Earnings pro Aktie werden nun mit 17 Cents antizipiert, was sequentiuell einem Rückgang von einem Cent entspricht. Des weiteren soll die Eröffnung einer neuen Fabrikanlage in Gresham von Juli auf Oktober verschoben werden.
