Microchip guides earnings higher for Q2 (MCHP) 15.36 -1.59: Company says it expects earnings for Q2 to exceed the guidance provided in the Q1 earnings release issued on July 17, 2002, driven primarily by higher gross margins; EPS are expected to be "approximately 17 cents, exceeding the prior guidance of 16 cents" -- current consensus estimate is for earnings of $0.16 per share. Annan: Irak stimmt Rückkehr von UN-Waffeninspekteuren zu

(AFP) Irak hat der bedingungslosen Rückkehr von UN-Waffeninspekteuren zugestimmt. Das sagte UN-Generalsekretär Kofi Annan am Montag in New York. Der irakische Außenminister Nadschi Sabri hatte Annan zuvor einen offiziellen Brief seiner Regierung übergeben. Der UN-Generalsekretär werde der Öffentlichkeit "eine gute Nachricht" präsentieren, sagte Sabri im Anschluss vor Journalisten.
Darin erkläre sich Irak einverstanden, die Inspektoren wieder ins Land zu lassen, damit sie ihre Arbeit fortsetzen könnten
